e-gold: They've Taken the Money and Run

Looks like Douglas Jackson and/or Barry K. Downey have taken the money and run.

I have received no response to my e-mail recently sent to them (sent "Return Receipt" requested).

A reader of this blog, in a comment to that post, also states that there is a lack of communication and, further, that the previous attorneys and PR firm are no longer associated with e-gold.

It appears that the e-gold website is still being maintained; monthly service fees are still being deducted from accounts. Maybe the reasoning for that is that eventually all accounts will be drained via service fees, so account holders will have nothing to complain about.

Also, every now and then, a lame blog post about servers being maintained is posted. But NO REAL NEWS has been posted for months.

Granted that e-gold has have been harassed by the fascist U.S. government; that is no excuse for their disregard of account holders.
